Solidarity in Alberta Flooding Recovery

Restrictions lifted at the Campbellville Training Centre

The Ontario Racing Commission (ORC) has announced that there have been no reports of any further clinical cases of EHV-1 in horses stabled in the Lower Barn of the Campbellville Training Centre. ORC Manager of Veterinary Services, Dr. Adam Chambers, confirms that horses stabled in this barn will be allowed to enter races and physically attend Ontario racetracks.  The restrictions on horses stabled at les Cedres in Quebec also will be lifted on June 4,2013. Ontario coaches named for Canadian Interprovincial Equestrian Championships

The Ontario Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce it has selected three coaches who will guide the province’s riders in the disciplines of Jumping, Reining and Dressage at the Canadian Interprovincial Equestrian Championships, which will be held Sept. 13-15 in Alberta. Guiding the Jumping team will be Danny Foster of Milton, ON., a Level 3 Hunter/Jumper coach with 40 years coaching experience. June 26, 2013 EHV-1 Update: restrictions on Woodbine Barn 1 lifted. All Horses allowed to exit ORC Manager of Veterinary Services Dr. Adam Chambers has announced that all restrictions placed on horses stabled in Woodbine’s Barn 1 are now removed, effective June 26, 2013. The restrictions on Barn 3 horses were lifted on June 19. The last time a horse in Barn 1 tested positive was June 12, 2013. In Memoriam: Legendary Show Jumper Zucarlos (1981-2013)

Equine Canada and the Ontario Equestrian Federation would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the Hayes family on the loss of legendary show jumper Zucarlos.
