Canadian Driver Eugen Hug Wins at Bromont International CAI-2*

Canadian drivers, Christina Sully, Eugen Hug and Darryl Billing, all represented Canada at the 2014 Bromont International CAI-2*, held June 20–22, in Bromont, QC. Combined Driving is comprised of three phases— driven dressage, marathon and obstacle-cones—which are scored in penalty points. The final results are determined by the driver with the lowest combined number of penalties throughout all three phases. Ontario’s equestrian community extends heartfelt condolences to Selena O’Hanlon and owners Elaine and Michael Davies on the passing away of their cherished Swedish Warmblood gelding Colombo. In 2007, O’Hanlon was first named to the Canadian Eventing National Team with Colombo, and the pair made their four-star debut together at the 2008 CCI 4* Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event, in Lexington, KY, finishing in 20th. It is with deepest sadness that we announce that Jordan McDonald, 30, died while competing at the Nunney International Horse Trials held at  Southfield House, Whatley, Frome, Somerset, GBR  on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Born in British Columiba, Jordan McDonald resided in Oakville, ON, but was currently based in Great Britain with his wife, Shandiss McDonald.
