Horse Day

Horse Day Newsletter AdHorse Day is a free, one-day public event designed to educate people of all ages about horses and provides visitors with the opportunity to experience horses up close and personal.

Toronto Horse Day

Horses and ponies will be trotting back into Toronto on Saturday, June 6 for Horse Day, an OEF initiative to give the public a chance to meet horses and learn about riding and driving.

Now in its seventh year, Horse day takes place at the Horse Palace at Exhibition Place and gives horse enthusiasts a chance to learn about horse care, meet special guests, explore interactive exhibits and displays and watch riding and driving demonstrations featuring different horse breeds and disciplines. Among the beautiful horses you can expect to see are the stunning Spanish horses from Medieval Times. Back by popular demand will be a children’s activity zone featuring horse-themed games, as well as arts and crafts. New this year, children can create their dream horses with Breyer.

As an IGNITE Ontario event, Toronto Horse Day will also celebrate the upcoming TORONTO 2015 Pan American Games. Features will include riding demonstrations showcasing the Pan Am equestrian disciplines, Pan Am themed activities and crafts, opportunities to sign banners for the riders who will be represent Canada at the Pan Am Games, and much more!

Plan a Horse Day in your community

The OEF encourages members to host their own Horse Day events on Saturday, June 6 to celebrate horses and educate their community about horses and equestrian activity in Ontario. Whether you are hosting an open house at your barn, planning a day of special activities, or simply inviting a friend to your riding lesson, everyone can get involved to celebrate Horse Day!
